The Chunqiu fanlu (Luxuriant Dew of the Spring and Autumn Annals)isthemain work of Dong Zhongshu 董仲舒 (179 - 104 B.C.), one of the mostcelebratedConfucianscholars in Han times. It persues the aim of describing theethical andpoliticalprinciples as laid out by the Chunqiu interfused with Yin-Yangand the FivePhasesbeliefs prevalent at the time. The authenticity of certainportions of thereceived texthas been questioned since the Song period(960-1279).
